The celebration of the Day of the Dead is linked to the Agricultural calendar from the Prehispanic ancient. We celebrate with Altar exhibitions. On their altars, people put light candles; burn incense, artifacts designed especially for the festivity. People also place Christian images like crucifix and the virgin of Guadalupe. They put portraits of their love ones. The foods are placed in plates handmade with mud; these foods are characteristic of the region. They can also include alcoholic drinks or glasses with water, juices of fruits, breads made for this special day, fruits and candies cook with pumpkin. We also have individual altars designed by local artist that expresses their personal perspective of the festivity.
