Open  Saturday from  2pm-8pm and Sunday 12pm-6 pm

Day of the Dead Community Event 2013 program
The belief that death and life constitute a unity.
Saturday November  2nd
Altar exhibition by:
Independent Artist Angela Morales  (Puerto Rico)

2:00 pm Face Painting by  local artist Alex Perez
2:00 pm learn how to make paper flowers
2:30 pm Cilantro Food Truck Puerto Rican/Mexican food
3:30 pm Movie “Frida” (Salma Hayek)
7:00pm “What is the day of the dead about?” invitation
to general public to bring portraits or flowers to honor
their friends and family, people are welcome to write a
message and place it at the community Altar.

We will have 2 gift certificates from evolved to give to the most authentic costume one each day (adults costume).

Ready to do your own Altar?  check out Frida Katrina "Mexican Fok Art" this is Leticia's new project. Frida Katrina is a project to support Mexican Artist and Artisans,gving them an opportunity to share their art and make a way of living.  At Frida Katrina you can find "papel picado" paper mache skulls, sugar skulls, Alebrijes and almost everything that you need to build an altar. You can also find small kit bag with all what you need for a small ofering.
