I remember when Professor Corona told me about the Latino Migration Project and the Latino Arts for Humanity group. I was so excited for the opportunity to contribute to this project. I contacted Rosa and went to my first meeting. There was a nice group of people full of energy starting to work on this great Project. Professor Calvo was by that time a big help for the project too. She invites a lot of her students to collaborate in the project. Everybody were ready to interview people from the Hispanic community. There was a necessity to learn the basic of an interview and also the need of having the basic questions. We had a meeting and came up with these basic questions that were just the key to the door of many beautiful histories. Stories that connected one to the each other. I called them our stories del alma.

Why did we leave?
Economic
Political
Family unity
Educational

What brought us to Ohio?
A friend or family were here already
Smaller city, quiet, safe, less gangs, good city
To raise a family
Better salaries for working class

Who are we?
what have been our struggle
How did we arrive here?
Where is home?
What have we gained?
What do we have to offer?
